Spacious Sunny Bedroom In 2 Bedroom Available Immediately Upper East Side 1220 01/28/2012

I am looking for a long-term subletter (with possibility to renew at the end of the year) for the larger, sunnier room in my apartment! The entire building was renovated recently (last 5 years or so), including this apartment. Laundry is in-house; grocery stores, pharmacy, coffee shops, dry cleaners, restos, bars, etc. are just around the corner. And to make life extra awesome, the 6 train is less than two blocks away!
The common area is entirely furnished, though I am flexible to making changes. Your bedroom is entirely unfurnished, however.
About you:
The usual - clean, respectful, pays rent and utilities on time, not psychotic, easy to get along with. If we end up best friends, great. If not, that's fine. We have to live together, not spend the rest of our lives conjoined. I would prefer someone who works full time in a steady day job, though I am open to reliable students, shift workers, etc. if the fit seems good. As long as you pay me through legal means, we're good to go. No preference on sex, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, or nationality. I would, however, prefer someone at least in their mid-twenties.
About me:
27, female, politically and socially progressive, employed full-time, loves to cook even though time is not on my side, traveled a few places around the world...
To move in:
Rent is $1220/month. Since the management does not allow people to sign on to the lease until renewal, I would prefer 2 months security up front, though I am willing to discuss. At minimum, you will need one month security + first month rent = $2440. We would sign a subletter's agreement between the two of us, and I will submit a letter to the management company letting them know you are a legal subletter.
