I have two rooms for rent in my lovely 1919 Craftsman house just off of Ravenna Blvd. on 11th Ave NE. Both rooms are on the first floor, one is larger and has windows out to the back yard and the other is a bit smaller. Both have large windows and one c
loset each. I live in the master bedroom upstairs with its own bathroom, so the bathroom on the main floor will serve both of these bedrooms. The rest of the house is very nicely appointed and fully furnished. There is a home gym and an elliptical trainer in the basement for those inclined, a brick oven in the backyard for the occasional pizza party, chickens in a chicken coop, and a new washer and dryer as well. The house is full of light even on overcast days in the middle of winter making it a warm and inviting place to be. The kitchen is quite nice if you like to cook. It is a short walk to Whole foods or QFC, Cowen park grocery and the park, buses running down Roosevelt or the Ave, and many restaurants.
Things I should mention-
I own this house and everything in it. It is full of nice things I've come by throughout my life and I'd need you to treat this space and these things with care and respect as you would ask others to do with your stuff. My wife and I moved in 7 years ago and we are now going through a divorce. We did a remodel a few years ago which expanded the kitchen and added a bathroom upstairs.
I'm only renting rooms out to help pay the bills, but some company would help the house feel more like a home and less lonely. I work, eat, drink, play, and practically live in Ballard, so I come home mostly to sleep before I leave again in the morning. You'd likely have the house to yourself 90% of the time.
Ideally, I would like to find someone who would be interested in both rooms- bedroom and a home office, maybe? You would then have the bathroom to yourself. Someone who works from home or a grad student at the UW who needs lots of peace and quiet would find themselves at home here. If that fails, I will entertain individual renters for each room. I am 31 and I'd like to live with people close to my age or slightly older. This is not a college dorm.
Also, I have a small Shiba Inu, a foxy looking little dog who I now share custody of, so I have him some of the time, but not all. He would need to be the only pet in the house because he doesn't play well with others and I'm allergic to cats. If you like dogs you'll love Kio. I like to keep things tidy but I'm not anal. I would ask that you help keep the common areas tidy but your room is your business.
Of course, I would ask you for information to run a background check with. The small bedroom is $550 plus 1/3 of utilities, the larger room is $650 plus 1/3 of utilities. Six month lease, then month to month is ok. First and last month's rent due upon move in. I do not have cable/wifi, but we can discuss sharing the cost of that if it's something you need.

We will be building a family-scale sustainable livestock business over the next 5 years and may be using part of the land we are renting to humanely raise some small livestock such as chickens/ducks/turkeys/rabbits.
I know some folks don't like the idea of living with Christians or in a farm environment, so I'm putting that out there up front.
The home is on 1 acre of farm land, surrounded by horses, cattle, goats, and other farm critters. It would be fantastic for a small scale homestead or farming operation, small livestock are allowed as is gardening. We have an EPIC view of Mt Rainer out the front window. and a large, 400sq ft private bedroom with wrap-around deck for someone to rent from us.

You probably won't find a bigger or better deal on craigslist and it's available March 1st (possibly sooner)!
Here are some details:
For $750 per month you get your own secure large private living room, medium sized bedroom, washroom with sink/ mirror / closet space, and a separate outside entrance to this portion of the home.
You would also have full access to the common areas of the home to use as you please (laundry room, main bathroom, living room, kitchen, etc.). There is a hot tub on the deck, a BBQ, a big fenced in yard, and the house is clean and well kept. My house has all the basic furnishings and pots/ pans, appliances, etc... you will only need your bedroom stuff and whatever you want to put in your private living room.
The house is quiet, clean, and relaxing. I am a 33 year old male engineer. I currently have two young college age female roommates and a dog. The dog is home all day everyday. The other roommates and I on the other hand, are rarely home because we both work a lot and have lots of other activities that keep us busy.
Previous tenants have all said that they could not believe how good of a deal this was compared to other rentals available on Craigslist! This is a large space for rent and the home is very quiet.
More about the home:
This nice quiet 4 bedroom country home sits on 3 wooded acres and is within walking distance of the Pilchuk river & the Centennial bike trail. The home is located near the intersection of Machias and Dubuque roads North of the city of Snohomish (see map link below for exact location). The house is 13 miles to downtown Everett , 5 miles to downtown Snohomish, & roughly 5 miles to downtown Lake Stevens.
About ME: I am a responsible 33 year old male engineer working in Everett. I like to stay busy and take care of my home. I own a rental property in New Mexico and am now buying this home in Snohomish. I do not smoke or do any kind of drugs, I have no criminal history and will pass any kind of background check with flying colors. I play a lot of sports and stay very active with a ton of different hobbies. I am very social and a successful person. I am home in the evenings and some weekends but mostly just there to relax a bit, tinker around in the garage, and then get some rest. This is my home and I will not allow someone to move in that I think will jeopardize the safety of my dog, my house, the other roommate, or myself. I expect that whomever I rent to will be a safe and responsible person that will treat my home and belongings with respect at all times.
About other roommates: responsible 20 year old female college student with 2 jobs. She is quiet, clean, and rarely home but very easy to get along with when she is in the home. She has rented a room from me for over a year now. The other young lady in the house is 19 and works often and is easy to get along with as well. I only see them about 3 times a week in passing as they are headed to work or I am headed to work... it is not a crowded and loud place whatsoever.
I do not need a roommate and I especially do not have a desire to have someone move in that will be a lot of drama or need to be cleaned up after... I do however think it is wise of me to have roommates to help split some of the costs of this home. Plus, there is more than enough room in this house , I have rented rooms in my homes for the majority of my adult life and am easy to deal with. I think this would be a good deal for both of us.
I have a big friendly dog and if that is an issue for you then this house is not for you . If you have a dog or other pets that is perfectly fine with me. I love animals and my dog would be more than happy to have some company but I would ask for a small pet damage deposit if you bring a pet with you.
All utilities are included in the rental rate of $750 per month (wireless high speed internet, electricity, water,etc). I do not have cable or satellite but I do have a pretty sweet tv and surround sound that is great for movies or you could set up your own in your living room. I think that you will agree - $750 is a very fair deal for this place.
You will be responsible for cleaning up after yourself and not leaving any messes behind in the common areas of the home. If you want your bedroom to be a mess -that's totally your choice :).
You will buy your own groceries and have your own cupboards and space in the fridge for storing your things in the kitchen. I will provide cleaning supplies and stuff to keep the place clean, but you have to clean up after yourself. I am not interested in taking on your burdens or telling anyone to clean up after themselves - so please be self sufficient and easy to live with.
I think this would be an ideal situation for a responsible person looking for a safe, quiet and affordable place to live. If you are ok with living away from the city, this place really is great!
I am not really interested in having a couple or more than one person move into the rental room, but a single parent and a young child could be considered.
The private living room will come furnished with a couch, chair, and loveseat as well as a television for you to use during your stay. If you have your own stuff I can move these items out prior to you moving in.
Feel free to shoot me an email if you want more information. The place will be available by the end of the month. The right candidate could start moving in by the end of the month if we meet and agree that the situation is good for both of us.
I am looking to have someone begin renting this room at the end of February /early March.
**Note: I could also provide the room to you with a bed and dresser if you do not have your own.
Lease Details:
I will only do a month to month lease with you for your protection and mine just in case this does not work out. Move in fees would be first month's rent plus a $500 damage deposit (which will be refunded within 10 days after you vacate - if there is no damage to the home).
You can terminate the lease at anytime that you choose and I just ask that you give me at least a 2 week notice.
I can and will immediately terminate the lease if you use drugs, smoke in the home, steal, or cause major damage to the home.
I will give you a 30 day notice if I choose to end the lease for any other reasons.
You would be responsible for cleaning up after yourself and not leaving any messes behind you when you use the common areas of the home, if you want your bedroom to be a mess -that's totally your choice :).
I can provide a long list of references of happy previous renters as well as people that know me and can vouch that I am a good and responsible person.
*NOTE - There is no storage available outside of the private living room and bedroom that you would be renting. If you have too much stuff for the living area being rented, then you will need to find a place to store it elsewhere. Sorry for this inconvenience.
The private area (living room and bedroom combined) that you will be renting is nearly 450 square feet of private space. Plus you get the use of the rest of the main home.... AND you can board your horse and have a barn stall for the horse!

I am seeking a good quality roommate to rent a large private living room and medium sized bedroom in my home. This living space is like have your own small apartment with the exception that you have to share the main homes bathroom & kitchen.

ably won't find a bigger or better deal on craigslist and it's available March 1st (possibly sooner)!
Here are some details:
For $550 per month you get your own secure large private living room, medium sized bedroom, washroom with sink/ mirror / closet space, and a separate outside entrance to this portion of the home.
You would also have full access to the common areas of the home to use as you please (laundry room, main bathroom, living room, kitchen, etc.). There is a hot tub on the deck, a BBQ, a big fenced in yard, and the house is clean and well kept. My house has all the basic furnishings and pots/ pans, appliances, etc... you will only need your bedroom stuff and whatever you want to put in your private living room.
The house is quiet, clean, and relaxing. I am a 33 year old male engineer. I currently have two young college age female roommates and a dog. The dog is home all day everyday. The other roommates and I on the other hand, are rarely home because we both work a lot and have lots of other activities that keep us busy.
Previous tenants have all said that they could not believe how good of a deal this was compared to other rentals available on Craigslist! This is a large space for rent and the home is very quiet.

This nice quiet 4 bedroom country home sits on 3 wooded acres and is within walking distance of the Pilchuk river & the Centennial bike trail. The home is located near the intersection of Machias and Dubuque roads North of the city of Snohomish (see map link below for exact location). The house is 13 miles to downtown Everett , 5 miles to downtown Snohomish, & roughly 5 miles to downtown Lake Stevens.
About ME: I am a responsible 33 year old male engineer working in Everett. I like to stay busy and take care of my home. I own a rental property in New Mexico and am now buying this home in Snohomish. I do not smoke or do any kind of drugs, I have no criminal history and will pass any kind of background check with flying colors. I play a lot of sports and stay very active with a ton of different hobbies. I am very social and a successful person. I am home in the evenings and some weekends but mostly just there to relax a bit, tinker around in the garage, and then get some rest. This is my home and I will not allow someone to move in that I think will jeopardize the safety of my dog, my house, the other roommate, or myself. I expect that whomever I rent to will be a safe and responsible person that will treat my home and belongings with respect at all times.
About other roommates: responsible 20 year old female college student with 2 jobs. She is quiet, clean, and rarely home but very easy to get along with when she is in the home. She has rented a room from me for over a year now. The other young lady in the house is 19 and works often and is easy to get along with as well. I only see them about 3 times a week in passing as they are headed to work or I am headed to work... it is not a crowded and loud place whatsoever.
I do not need a roommate and I especially do not have a desire to have someone move in that will be a lot of drama or need to be cleaned up after... I do however think it is wise of me to have roommates to help split some of the costs of this home. Plus, there is more than enough room in this house , I have rented rooms in my homes for the majority of my adult life and am easy to deal with. I think this would be a good deal for both of us.
I have a big friendly dog and if that is an issue for you then this house is not for you . If you have a dog or other pets that is perfectly fine with me. I love animals and my dog would be more than happy to have some company but I would ask for a small pet damage deposit if you bring a pet with you.
All utilities are included in the rental rate of $550 per month (wireless high speed internet, electricity, water,etc). I do not have cable or satellite but I do have a pretty sweet tv and surround sound that is great for movies or you could set up your own in your living room. I think that you will agree - $550 is a very fair deal for this place.
You will be responsible for cleaning up after yourself and not leaving any messes behind in the common areas of the home. If you want your bedroom to be a mess -that's totally your choice :).
You will buy your own groceries and have your own cupboards and space in the fridge for storing your things in the kitchen. I will provide cleaning supplies and stuff to keep the place clean, but you have to clean up after yourself. I am not interested in taking on your burdens or telling anyone to clean up after themselves - so please be self sufficient and easy to live with.
I think this would be an ideal situation for a responsible person looking for a safe, quiet and affordable place to live. If you are ok with living away from the city, this place really is great!
I am not really interested in having a couple or more than one person move into the rental room, but a single parent and a young child could be considered.
The private living room will come furnished with a couch, chair, and loveseat as well as a television for you to use during your stay. If you have your own stuff I can move these items out prior to you moving in.
Feel free to shoot me an email if you want more information. The place will be available by the end of the month. The right candidate could start moving in by the end of the month if we meet and agree that the situation is good for both of us.
I am looking to have someone begin renting this room at the end of February /early March.
**Note: I could also provide the room to you with a bed and dresser if you do not have your own.
Lease Details:
I will only do a month to month lease with you for your protection and mine just in case this does not work out. Move in fees would be first month's rent plus a $300 damage deposit (which will be refunded within 10 days after you vacate - if there is no damage to the home).
You can terminate the lease at anytime that you choose and I just ask that you give me at least a 2 week notice.
I can and will immediately terminate the lease if you use drugs, smoke in the home, steal, or cause major damage to the home.
I will give you a 30 day notice if I choose to end the lease for any other reasons.
You would be responsible for cleaning up after yourself and not leaving any messes behind you when you use the common areas of the home, if you want your bedroom to be a mess -that's totally your choice :).
I can provide a long list of references of happy previous renters as well as people that know me and can vouch that I am a good and responsible person.
*NOTE - There is no storage available outside of the private living room and bedroom that you would be renting. If you have too much stuff for the living area being rented, then you will need to find a place to store it elsewhere. Sorry for this inconvenience.
The private area (living room and bedroom combined) that you will be renting is nearly 450 square feet of space. Plus you get the use of the rest of the main home....

Looking for a honest, clean, dependable roommate. Paying rent on time and cleaning up after yourself, as well as a willingness to at least make some contribution to cleaning common areas, is a must. You would get your own private bedroom and full bathroom
. The house already has water, sewer, garbage, electric, satellite, and wireless internet.
Information about the house:
3 bedroom, 2 bathroom single family home in the Manchester area of Port Orchard (minutes from the manchester waterfront).
Hardwood floors throughout, except in bedrooms (plush carpet in bedrooms).
Huge laundry room with BRAND NEW (bought and delivered on 01/31/2012) top-loading HE washer, dryer and wash sink.
Two car garage with workbench.
There is a pellet stove in the living room.
60 INCH flat screen with internet apps (Netflix, Amazon Video on Demand....the list goes on) in the living room.
Kitchen has mostly new appliances and a good sized pantry (the only thing that isn't brand new is the stove - its about 5 years old, but still looks great and works perfectly).
Dining room has french doors that open to a large deck (great for BBQs or hanging out around the outdoor fireplace!).
Off the deck is a fenced in backyard.
Ample parking on the property.

About us:
We are a young married couple (26 years old). I (Genipher) am a family law paralegal and my husband, Mike is a former service member and will be going to school for his IT degree soon. We don't have children, other than our two dogs :-) We are both very easy going, not into partying, drinking or the like. I am a constant, on the go person, so we are rarely home during the day on the weekends - during the week I'm working all day :-) You can expect a pretty easy going roommate situation with us, we just ask for honesty and respect, which is exactly what you will get from us :-)
The specific room for rent is large enough that our previous roommates (a couple) fit a king size bed, TV stand, and computer desk in there - just to give you an idea of its size.
We do have two dogs, but they are very friendly, well behaved and spend most of their time outside or in our room. We are happy to set up a meet and greet for anyone interested at looking at the house.
Pets considered on a case-by-case basis. At minimum, any pet MUST be full-grown and housebroken.
Rent is $450 and includes water, electric, satellite TV in the room, and wireless Internet access!
