Hello! I'm looking for a great roommate to rent one of the rooms in a three bedroom apartment. It doesn't matter if you're a guy or a girl. I'm a guy and I've had great female roommates in the past as well as male roommates. Right now I have one other roo
mmate who is a guy in his late 20's and I am 31. Your rent would be $348.00 and you will have to put the electric bill in your name when you move in so that we each have a bill in our name. $348 is super cheap for this place. There are 2 bathrooms in this apartment but one of the bathrooms is in the back bedroom which is my current roommates room. The other bathroom has a shower, sink and toilet as well and is larger. There is a kitchen and the living room is nice and open. I know everybody in this building and have shared this building with them for awhile and they are all very nice people. Almost everybody that lives here is either in the their late 20's or early 30's. It is easy to park in this neighborhood but there is not a designated parking spot for the new tenants but I've never had a problem parking on the street. It's only a 7 minute walk to the "Logan Square" Blue Line stop and the Fullerton bus stops on the corner of our street. Bills aren't bad at this place either. Since there will be 3 people living here, each person will need to put one of the utility services in their name to make it fair for everybody. There is wireless internet here and it's not expensive. I think it's $10.00 per person. No smoking in the apartment. No illegal drugs and no pets except small fish bowls.
A little about me. . . I am 31 years old and I'm a college music teacher. I'm a percussionist but I don't play my drums at the house. I've lived in Chicago for a few years now but I'm originally from Las Vegas, NV but moved here in 2007 after graduate school for the amazing music scene. Chicago has an awesome jazz scene. I have many hobbies as well. Some of them include: music, books, conversation, classic Triumph motorcycles, boxing, outdoors stuff, movies, road trips, going to baseball games, weight lifting, etc. I have a beautiful classic Triumph Bonneville motorcycle so if you have a bike, lets ride! Or you can always ride on the back of mine when I go on trips! I'm fun and friendly and very responsible and I ALWAYS pay rent on time. That is the one thing the landlord of this place has no patients for. Rent can never be late. I've had that problem in the past unfortunately and it wasn't fun. The landlord is a very nice lady and is not at all intrusive. She just expects the tenants to hold up their end of the deal. I am very laid back and easy to get along with. I teach long hours during the academic school year so I would like to have roommates that are respectful of that. I will of course be respectful of you and your schedule as well. I like having a get-together or BBQ sometimes and you are welcome to as well. Just no raging parties. I have a futon, TV and coffee table in the living room. If you want to decorate a little, that's cool with me. It's hard for me to say exactly what type of person would be the ideal roommate but this seems like a great place for a student in Graduate School or maybe an upperclassman. Also, I'm looking for roommates that chip in when it comes to chores. I keep things fairly neat but I'm not a clean freak. I'm not the roommate that will complain or leave notes everywhere telling you that you forgot to use a coaster or that you went to bed and left a dish out. I don't even own a coaster actually. HA HA! Just don't leave a pile of dishes for days. Just be fair and friendly and things will work out great! Thanks for your interest! I hope to hear from you!

It's really a great deal, rent includes heat, cooking gas and water, also each room has an AC unit, all of that for $492 plus electricity which runs about $30 a month shared by 3. The internet is $10 a month per person. There's parking available for an additional fee.
This apt is located in Buena Park on Buena ave, it's half a block from 36 bus, half a block from busses that will take you straight downtown, 148, 145, 146. Also close enough to the Sheridan Red line, and there's a Walgreens opening up soon by the red line. The location is perfect. There's a Jewel close by, as well as Target, Aldi, Gym, coffee shop, 7 eleven, liquor store, Michaels pizzeria and the great Bar on Buena all within walking distance.
The roommates are cool, I dont see them often although when see them they are friendly and nice, we keep the place clean and are respectful of one another. I've lived here for 2 yrs the reason why I'm leaving is because I'm moving in with my best friend, and going to be closer to work.

Hello All! I have a 3 BR, 2 bath cape cod in Highland Park, with one of the BR's available for rent immediately. I'm walking distance (2 blocks) from the Ravinia Metra stop, and 3 blocks north of the Ravinia Festival (10 min to Evanston, 45 to Loop, 20 to
Abbott/N. Chicago). The house is near the corner of Green Bay and Roger Williams.
I'm a single male, mid 30's, and looking for someone to share in the expenses for a short term (but likely highly renewable) arrangement. I keep my house in pretty good condition, though I'm far from type-A. I'd ask anyone else to be respectful as well. I have a cleaning service come in every two weeks, but the time between I'd ask that anyone in my house be respectful of the need to keep clean after themselves.
Wi-fi, and basic utilities are included (there is no land phone line). You're welcome to use the house stuff (cooking, Keurig, etc), but supplies would come from you, as per any regular roommate arrangement. A TV with basic cable access is provided in the room. Washer (brand new) and dryer included at no charge, but again, supplies would be on you. The washer/dryer is a stackable unit 5 feet from the room for rent. Further, the picture below is of the bathroom across the hall (huge glass shower stall). The bed is a solid twin, with an excellent mattress and box spring and linens included for use. As you can see, the bed runs adjacent a window, which has a pretty tranquil view (I think) of my barn and the back area. There's also a full desk in the room, per the other picture that also points to the large closet (no computer provided, though shared laser printer access is an option).
While I intend to put the house on the market for sale this year, I won't be accepting any sale closing dates that give me, or the room renter, less than a month for move out (thus the short term arrangement nature of this post). So you don't have to worry about me expecting you to leave quickly because I've sold the house. And given the present housing market, I expect it to take a year or two for it to sell. I'm completely open to extending the arrangement through the summer, or however long it takes for my home to sell (assuming we're both comfortable with it). It should be noted that it's not in my nature to leave anyone in a predicament on my part.
I'm generally a pretty easy person to get along with, and looking for someone who's the same. I take pretty good care of my stuff, and would ask that you do as well. Though outside smoking is okay, to be clear - I'm a non-smoker, and smoking inside the house is not OK. Also, I have a very nice, quiet, blind and sporadically social Siamese cat. If you're allergic to cats, this may not be the best option for you. And though she is very good with people, she's no good with other animals. So if you have an animal (aside from a fish), this isn't a good place for you.
Finally, per the pictures, the room is on the second floor, and there are 2 BR's up there (as well as a full bath). I live on the first floor and usually only go upstairs to do laundry, thus the shared bathroom is only between two people (I have my own bathroom on the first floor). The second bedroom is occupied by a 27 year old Marine, with a solid moral character, and a great sense of humor. He's lived with me in the house for the last year under very similar tenant terms, and it's worked out great. As with any living situation, we've hit a few bumps along the way, but each time dealt with them heads up, with very little stress. I think it's safe to say that we're very cognizant of the fact that we're sharing living space and work toward being very friendly to each other and anyone else that might come into the house.
No security despite is required, but first month rent will be due at time of move-in. After that, rent will be paid in half month increments on every 1st and 15th beyond the first month. So, on day 1 you'd pay for day 1- 30. However, on day 15, rent would be due for days 31-45 if you wanted to stay on. On day 31, rent would be due for days 45-60, and so forth. So there would always be a half-month buffer and avoids awkwardness that might otherwise come from late rent issues.

I have previous roommates that can act as references as well, should you want to check into it a little bit. Also, I'll be running a background check, (saved me from a guy with 14 evictions on his record), so if you have problems renting or major criminal issues, please don't waste your time or mine. Reasonable financial problems won't be a deal-breaker for me, very few people have excellent credit these days.
One final note.... If you're not actually **in** the United States with a domestic number I can contact you at, please don't bother replying. Having rented out on CL previously, I know there's a bunch of very nice people in Nigeria that would love to have me wire them money for some thing or other relating to the room. I won't be doing that, so please move on if this is you.
Sorry if these things are a headache, but I take good care of my house and my personal security, and looking for someone who's like minded. And if this isn't of interest to you, but you read it through thanks for that too!
